Response to Tamba Hali on Twitter
Before you read this post, you must watch the video and get through a few of the comments people left.

Now that that is done, let me start with my response. First off, why are people so quick to provide a diagnosis to a man who reports that he sees something. Now, everyone saw something. So, it is not made up. We saw lights that appeared and seem to flash, then turn away from facing the front of the home before going to the left of the screen. The clip pretty much ends there. You also notice that the clip is turned to the side for most of the video and then turns right side up so you can tell the actual direction in which Tamba Hali viewed the lights.
To diagnose this retired NFL player with PTSD because of his interpretation of the lights seems very premature. Some comments reflected that he should call the police. My personal opinion is I agree. When you are concerned about your safety, call the police. Another thing, people, to include black people, let’s not call upon Jesus if you believe someone has a mental illness. Yes, you can pray for someone but if a person has a suspected illness, they need treatment. That is why these professions exist. There are trained professionals to treat individuals diagnosed with mental illness or dealing with stressors, etc. I am not saying that Tamba Hali has a mental illness. From my cheap view of the video from my phone, I cannot tell exactly what is happening in the video but I do see the lights and a light-colored object. The pic of the daytime view from Hali’s home shows that there is a house directly where the lights were coming from. Much can be deduced from knowing that added information but let’s not get carried away and start diagnosing people. I wonder if the people sharing these diagnoses are equipped to diagnose 🤔. This is just my quick response to the video clip. Back to work for me. I would love to hear your thoughts.
